Rare Rose Coloured Starling visits Nairn

Following an unusually large eruption of Rose Coloured Starlings hitting the UK this year, one has honoured us by its presence in Nairn!  It's been pottering around gardens by the cemetry for a few days now, mixing with the other birds around the gardens. This is the 12th sighting in Moray and Nairn since records began; that sounds pretty rare to me!

I couldn't get to where it was showing, so well done Kate for such a good, clear photo.  I did manage to see it on a telegraph wire.  That was good enugh for me!
