More waxwings!

The waxwings returned the next day (Thursday) - 55 of them this time. I've only just looked at the photos and picked these two: the one with the bird’s back to camera showing its yellow and red markings (not the berry getting in the way!) illustrates why they are called waxwings; and the second photo shows how they acrobatically twist upside down to get to the berries! Oh and by the way, the local sparrowhawk is regularly hunting around the garden hoping for a colourful meal!
